I’m sure you’ve heard that one of the best ways to make money on the internet is to create your own product.

Probably the simplest and least expensive is the creation of an ebook. You may be thinking yeah right or I can’t do that. Perhaps you have an ebook started, but just aren’t motivated to finish it. I know, because I’m there myself.

Well check this out. This is a screen shot of what has to be one of the biggest selling self published ebooks to hit eBay.

Hot Selling eBook

It’s by a young guy named Kekoa who resides in Hawaii. Kekoa uses the eBay ID: kekoa64.

Now my intent is really not to review this book, but to give you (and me) inspiration and motivation to create an ebook and sell it on eBay.

If you look at the title “Learn How My Girlfriend and I Make $100/hr!” what does it make you think? Do you say to yourself yeah right? Does it peak your curiosity? What ever you think you have to admit the title does catch your attention.

That’s exactly what a good title is supposed to do. See my post “Headlines that Draw Readers to Your Blog“.

Now I said that I wasn’t going to review this book, but I am going to give you things to think about.

First I would like you to go to eBay and look at the feedback that Kekoa has obtained. Use this link here: Kekoa64 - Feedback.

Pretty impressive I would say! Over 7000 positive feedbacks and a handful of negative feedbacks. Hey you can’t please everyone.

This is just one ebook on techniques he uses to make money. On average it looks like he sells or at least gets about ten feedbacks a day. So let’s say he’s selling about ten books a day at $9.99. That’s $99.99 a day (not deducting the fees for eBay and Paypal).

Still the money he’s pulling in is basically all on autopilot. Then when you look at the profit he’s made its well up in the tens of thousands of dollars! Holy crap!

All he does is strategically place the book up for auction at different times and days, and leaves feedback when a purchase is made.

A true example of an income stream! Are you motivated now?

Ok now here are some things I want you to think about. Be it negative or positive you need to listen carefully.

First the title “Learn How My Girlfriend and I Make $100/hr!”. Do you think they make that every hour of the day? Do they make that eight hours a day for a full 40 hour work week?

I once sold a used car for 500 dollars. It took me 3 days to sell it, but the actual deal took less than an hour. Should I write an ebook on “How I make $500/hr”? I think you get my drift.

Next if you’re really curious to the contents of the book and you’re reluctant to crack open your wallet (not even for $9.99) then here’s a little trick.

Look at the feedbacks, especially the negative feedbacks. The really disappointed buyers basically tell you why they don’t like the ebook and reveal some of the techniques!

Special note here. At the time of this post Kekoa64 has been suspended on eBay. He claims it’s due to some sort of misunderstanding with eBay. I don’t know. Also, if you surf the web for kekoa64 you’ll see there has been some controversy on how this ebook was able to maintain such a long lasting, high impact on eBay’s Impulse page. But I’m not gonna go there.

Another thing you can pickup from the feedbacks is the terms of his refund policy. I understand the reason why he sets it up this way, but as always there are the pros and cons.

I will admit I was curious and did buy the ebook. Did I learn anything from it? Yes I did. Was it worth the $9.99? Let’s put it this way. Any product that I buy boosting how it will help me make money had better do just that.

So yes I have made a few bucks and did get some ideas from the book.

A good rule of thumb is to give the system(s) a fair chance. Put the product to work. If after an honest effort to make it work you don’t make at least double of what you paid for the product then you may want to consider getting your money back.

Always, always be sure you fully understand the return/money back policy. If you’re not sure then contact the seller for clarification. Anybody who is confident in their product will spell it out to you.

Now get your butt in gear, write that ebook and start making some extra spending cash!

Until next time. Keep searching, keep an open mind, do your research, feed your mind, and have fun!

Why eBay Is The Best Place To Make Your First $1000 Online

I’d like to begin with a question – and I’ll bet the answer is going to surprise you (it sure did surprise me!).

Q. What percentage of the worlds population do you think is online?

A. Under 1%!

Just think about that for a second – 99% of the world haven’t even gotten online yet. And yet the internet is already making some people – not large companies, but individuals like you and me – a FORTUNE. Don’t for a minute think that this happens easily – it takes time to find your own little niche online, to develop and perfect it – but it’s something you can do on a total shoe-string budget, and over time anyone that really wants to can carve out a nice little earning online. And looking at the bigger picture, as more and more of the worlds population comes online, imagine how successful your business will become as your potential customers grow by leaps and bounds, every single year.

Earning online is really quite beautiful when you think about it – here’s a chance for ANYONE with a PC and internet connection to plug in and start making money…enough to pay your bills, sure – but in some cases much more. And lets not forget the comfort factor – your own hours, not having a boss to answer to, not having to travel and more time with loved ones…. the list is endless.

Ok so what does this mean for you? For those of you still trying to take that first step, today’s newsletter is all about trying to get you to think about ways of starting online. And if you cant find something then I’m going to suggest to you a proven way of making a money online, quickly.

The one question I get asked a lot is ‘What’s the best way to start an online business?’ Now while I do have my own website which now brings in most of my online income, I still believe by far the quickest and easiest way to earn money online is by selling on eBay. That’s how I first started, and I still do post at auctions to squeeze money whenever I feel like it. The reason I moved into selling on websites is because I’m lazy and don’t like making trips to the post office J . But if you’re starting out online, eBay is by far the BEST and QUICKEST way of making money NOW.

Think of these facts – eBays gets a whopping 9000 new customers signing up every day and gets 1.5 billion page views every month. And for a few pennies, you can promote your product to literally an endless source of customers – see that’s the great thing about eBay…they GIVE you the traffic that would be very difficult and expensive to get by yourself. All you do is plug in your advert click on send and a week or so later collect money from your customers.

Of course there is a right way and a wrong way of selling on eBay too – You need to know what to sell. You need to create powerful interesting adverts. You need to devise a strategy – and above all you need to find really good wholesalers for selling your products. But let me tell you, one of the sweetest feelings I’ve ever experienced was winning my first eBay auction – I may have made a lot of mistakes to get there, but once I perfected my techniques and found the best wholesalers I started to win auction after auction.

To check out quality wholesalers that can make you a tidy profit on eBay check out the below:

OK so there you have it – a sure-fire way of starting out online with minimal risk and funds. If you’ve never explored the wonders of eBay, please PLEASE do so – go and find 5 items you don’t need and sell them on eBay - what the hell, come round to my house and take stuff if you want! ….It could be the start of a wonderful and profitable adventure!

Till next time,

Tukshad Engineer.

The One Essential Thing You Need To Make Money On eBay

With literally millions of auctions taking place on ebay.com all the time, you can probably already guess what the number 1 essential you need in order to succeed on ebay. You need a ‘USP‘. What is a USP? Simple - a Unique Selling Proposition. Something that sets your auction apart from all the other similar auctions that are no doubt happening at the same time. There’s nothing new about the concept of USP - every successful corporation tries to differentiate both itself and its products from rivals efforts, for obvious reason.

Ebay tends to encourage the ‘lazy seller’ - numbnuts who all cut’n'paste the same description, picture and even title into their auctions. Case in point - try searching for ‘apple mac’. Once one of these ‘lazy sellers’ starts using an image, they all do! Hardly an encouragement to buy from one particular seller, is it? In fact, you could argue that the amount of effort you put into your ebay auctions will determine the amount of return you get back!

Lazy Sellers seem to think that ’stealing’ a stock photo or description somehow makes them seem more ‘professional’. In reality, the opposite is the case. Today’s surfers are sufficiently switched on to know that online auctions, even the mighty Ebay, need to be treated with caution - scammers and fraudsters abound.

So how do you go about getting a USP for your Ebay auction? THINK about it! Check out the auction titles for similar items and make sure you don’t simply copy someone else’s. Put on model and make numbers, for example, or the color. In terms of a description, ALWAYS write it yourself. Sure, you can start with a standard description, but the more you tweak it, the more potential customers will think you stand out from the crowd. Just be careful to leave the essential info in there!

When it comes to images, if you don’t have a digital camera, you are basically stuck with using stock images. Think about leaning how to manipulate images to make a subtle change - perhaps crop the image, change the contrast, and so on. Whatever you do, make sure it is SMALL - nothing scares potential customers away faster than slow loading pages. Gifs are usuall best, then Jpegs. Try not to use pngs or tiffs.

With these simple tips, you can ensure the success of your ebay auction whatever the size of the competition!
